This morning I walked with our dog Boofie in the hills, when I suddenly became aware of the fact that I was not walking Boofie at all. He was walking me. My body followed him, but my mind was somewhere else. I experienced again that my father and teacher were talking about me. My teacher told my father that there was a problem. Half of the time in class, he said, I did not pay any attention to his teachings, because I was drifting away.
Actually, I am still that way. I love dreaming, and when I have to wait somewhere or when I am bored I automatically travel with my imagination in space and time. But, I can also consciously use my imagination to investigate things or to travel to other times and places.
Einstein already told us that knowledge could bring us from A to B, but that imagination will take us everywhere. I call imagination “traveling without limitations”, because we are not limited by time, space, our logical mind, preconceived ideas, or certain beliefs. It actually is the precursor of CREATION.
This morning I went with Boofie (our dog) to the Dog Spa. I had to wait half an hour, so I visited the card shop on the other side of the street. I walked along the cards, and suddenly one card with the quote from an unknown writer drew my attention. “There is a Bit of Magic in Every Thing”, it read.
I bought the card and returned to the street to investigate the magic in Every Thing.
The first thing I saw was an old woman who was quietly sitting on the street, waiting for donations. I took some money from my wallet and put it in her box, while the old woman looked up at me. At that moment, I received a tremendous gift. I looked into a pair of extremely beautiful, extremely wise and loving eyes. Our souls had recognized each other instantaneously, and that was MAGICAL.
Yes, I believe there is a little bit of magic in Every Thing, but sometimes it is much more than a little bit.
This morning it was raining, but Boofie (our dog) and I went walking anyhow, after all I’m from the Netherlands. In the hills, we met Leila, a beautiful female dog. Boofie liked her immediately, and started playing. We walked together for some time. Although it was raining, it felt like the sun was shining, because everybody was happy. It is all a matter of focus, I thought. Children splashing on the street puddles, don’t focus on the rain. The simply have fun, because they are their own sun (that rhymes). They shine, even when it rains.
On the way to the car I jumped in a puddle, splashing the water in all directions. Boofie looked surprised at me. I understand, I was surprised myself. I was a little boy for a while.
During my walk with Boofie (our dog) this morning, the word “PLAYING” popped into my mind.
Some years ago, I followed the Mastering Alchemy Programs of Jim Self, and Jim never talks about working. Almost everything he is doing, he calls PLAYING. So, during his lecture he was playing with his students, during the night he was playing on the other side of the veil. When he gave us homework, he gave us ideas or material to play with.
I LIKE THAT VERY MUCH!!!
So, when I started my walk with Boofie this morning, it was no regular walk anymore. It was the part of the day on Earth destined for playing with Boofie. It was amazing how different everything became. The houses, the cars, gardens, the hills, the woods, etc., became a part of the STAGE on which I was playing with Boofie. I saw also a lot of other players, but most of them did not seem to know that they were playing.
Using PLAYING instead of walking, working, travelling etc. makes that everything becomes more fun. Having a lifetime on Earth in order to gain experience is boring compared to gaining experience by playing. Did you ever see how a little child is gaining experience? INDEED: by PLAYING! Everything is new, everything is fascinating and everything stays new, because everything is changing constantly.
I realize that I now have been playing with my thoughts.
